I guess I wasn't prepared for how bony they would be. If we try them again I guess I need to filet the bones out like a fish.
Either way, props on even trying to cook eel. I wouldn’t know where to start.

Next time, peel it, clean it. Soak it in buttermilk for 2 hours.
Then throw it all in the trash.

My grandmother used to say a similar thing for cooking a goose—boil it for 2 hours and throw it in the trash.

My lovely wife and I got an Air Fryer for Xmas and after having to exchange it twice, we finally got to fuck around with it a little this weekend. We started a diet on Monday, so this past Sunday we did a little fatty fat fat day. Our first attempt at using the fryer was for mozzarella sticks, but they were in probably about 3 minutes too long and exploded the cheese. I mean, we scooped it back on top of the empty shells (which fried up nicely) and they were tasty, but still go down as a fail.
We used it again for dinner and made buffalo chicken bites on top of penne in a gorgonzola cream sauce with red bell peppers and zucchini. It was tasty, but the breading on the chicken still needs a little work.

Next up, I'm going to do some skinned and dry-rubbed wings, I think. I have to check on my calories for meal planning. (I hate diets, but love losing weight.)
