Travel- the trials and tribulations

People travel TO Ft. Lauderdale? I thought it was just an airport people use to get to other places.
We all make mistakes. But we’re visiting all the NHL arenas in part as an effort to visit many cities I otherwise would never go to with the idea that every city has something to offer.

Ft. Lauderdale exists solely as a scam to take every penny from your pocket and all joy from your heart

Oh, we took two domestic flights inside Japan and I have to say that was the easiest, quickest and most pleasant boarding and deplaning process EVER. Everyone is polite and patient and they managed to fully board a 777 in 10-15 minutes. People don’t stand in the aisle, everyone gets on and gets in their seat. That would never happen at home.

And we got to see Fuji from the air.

Awesome and useful posts. I’ll be in Japan in June.

I have only been there as a stopping point on the way to the Keys. And looked at it as an alternative to flying into Miami.

Lmao at calling Denver mile high Ann Arbor. Ann Arbor already thinks too much of itself.

Domestic flights are quicker and cheaper (they were before all the surcharges the Japanese government will be imposing due to fuel rates) than the Shinkansen since the JR pass discount was eliminated. If you’ve never taken the Shinkansen before you should definitely do it at leas once because it’s a great experience.

Phoenix is also on my list. I was pretty underwhelmed by San Antonio too.

As far as foreign cities go, I thought Vienna was kind of boring.
San Antonio generally sucks. It’s just so spread out. The area over by Fiesta Texas is pretty fun if you have a family.

I freakin’ love New Mexico though. Especially Santa Fe. Probably my favorite US city outside of Madison.
