The Disney+ Thread (streaming begins 11/12/19)

hasn't this story been told a bunch of times?

Rehashing the same garbage is an Oscar winning formula. See: Hamlet and A Star is Born.
oh i know, i'm just saying it stating that it's "the untold true story" is stupid. as this story has been told tons of times

So apparently I was thinking of Balto not Togo.

"Balto is the widely known dog of the original stories, but it turns out there were 20 teams. They had to make a nearly 700mile round trip through the storm. All 19 teams did about 30miles each and through easier terrain. Togo did 264 miles through what was believed to be impassable terrain. In fact it was Togo and his musher who delivered the serum to Balto and his musher who then completed the last leg. While Balto got the immediate fame, Togo turned out to be the legend. The movie is an attempt to refresh and correct the historical record for the masses."

Watched Aladdin & The Lion King tonight.

I was glad that Aladdin fleshed out Jasmine and made her more than just a pretty princess. Naomi Scott was a pleasant surprise and Will Smith wasn't as bad as I thought he would be but the rest of the movie was whatever.

The Lion King might be the most useless of all the current remake/reboot/sequels out there.

Let's take anthropomorphic animals and make them life like so the characters can show absolutely no emotion during any of the dialogue or musical numbers whatsoever.

If I didn't have to look at it some of the voice performances would have been ok... specifically Donald Glover & Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Also apparently (from that article) Thor from 'Good Boys' is the main lead?

FYI: That's Disney theatrical, not Disney+ (although I'm sure it will eventually come to the service after release)
