The nose and flavor on this bring two different experiences, but both good. Sweet brown sugar, fruit, and a little barrel on the nose. Milder palate, similar flavors but turned down. I mostly appreciate the sweetness being dialed back on the sip.
I've really been digging Treehouse"s barleywines recently. This is Tree of Possibility, full of caramel and figgy goodness with a subtle but present hit of barrel that will likely be more dominant as it warms.
