Video Games

Yeaaaaah... I'm probably just going to end up preordering the PC version of Outer Worlds 2 and cancelling. I don't really game much anyways but PC game pass was always so cheap I just kept it on so I could hop on and play Age of Empires 4 every once in a while.

My Xbox Series X is actually broken right now with a busted HDMI port due to my kid accidentally knocking it off its' shelf months ago and I haven't had the gumption to spend $150 to fix it yet. I'm usually good with electronics but the inside of that thing is super scary.
Yeah I still play COD every so often....50% increase to the top tier that includes the next COD coming out next..... No COD for me this year. Fuck that.

Silksong was fucking great by the way. Put nearly 60 hours into it and got to 98%. Regardless of the discourse online, I never felt it was too hard at any point. The last two bosses I fought took the longest but that's not too surprising. Nine Sols last boss took me nearly 4 to 5 hours to beat so this was simple compared to that. Moved on to Hades 2 now.

I put 30 hours into DK Bananza and by like layer 12 I was over with the game and would just try to cruise through each layer. The mini-games for bananas (oh, banana!) just got harder and I gave up spending my time on them. Otherwise fun game! On to Star Wars Outlaws now. Plays great on the S2.

Outlaws is a good fun game to kill time between better games. Ghost of Yotei comes out today, so that's where my next 100 hours of gaming will be.

Never had a Wii or WiiU, so that new Mario Galaxy 1&2 HD Collection is really tempting.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is straight up one of the best video games ever made and my favorite Mario game of all time.

Glad that Nintendo is going to make it available as a separate download because I already have the older Switch Collection with 64/Sunshine/Galaxy 1.

I'd agree other than I felt like it was too easy.

The post-120 Green Star challenge stuff kept me busy for eons and is very hard. Main game is pretty easy I'll agree (but fun!)
I know I'm an anomaly but I never found any of that particularly difficult either. Maybe the last, last level but even that was easier in Odyssey 2 than 1.

edit: Just as a comparison, none of the platforming in Silksong or the original Hollow Knight was particularly difficult for me.

So it seems if you're an existing top tier game pass member the price hike doesn't happen until November.

So does that mean you can DL/play these day one releases after switching tiers? Probably not but figured to ask

No it checks when you start the game so even if you have it downloaded it'll deny you. There's probably some leeway if you play offline, but even that won't last more than a couple days I'd presume.

Good to know as I have never played Galaxy 2. Might have to get it after finishing Bonanza
