The Official Cat Pix Thread

Working from home today so I have this thing judging me for lack of pets

This is Duffy. To be blunt, Duffy is a slut for belly rubs. Pet him anywhere on his body for more than five seconds and he flops belly up and looks at you expectantly.

Orange was a little stressed out, but she didn't mind getting some attention up on her little shelf

Mama Sue spent most of her time burrowed underneath various blankets and rugs, but she was friendly when out and about.

Midnight was a little bit feisty and out of sorts for most of my visit, evidently due to having had some bloodwork done earlier that morning. She spent a lot of time under one of the benches hissing and meowing at anybody, man or cat, who got too close. Then she got really affectionate all of a sudden, only to throw some swipes at me for no reason a few minutes later.

Well it's been an exhausting half day, as Geezer was clearly in pain and unable to use the bathroom all last night, despite trying repeatedly. He awoke to sniff food with the others but was also yowling, so off to the emergency vet we went at 3 am.

He has a bunch of crystals/stones in his bladder. Some will leave on their own and some won't, so they'll need to be surgically removed. Think of a kidney stone, but worse since it's a cat who can't exactly chug Ocean Spray.

They said he should be able to come home tomorrow and then I can hopefully get him into surgery somewhere (my vet is booked through mid-April).

Also I've just canceled my England trip next week but I'll figure that part out later. Need an August destination anyway.

Wheeeeeee
My boy Gary had them. Super scary. He actually had a seizure because it messed up his electrolytes so bad. We did the PU surgery and it was the best $ I've ever spent. Pissed like a racehorse for the next 8 years.
