Well I've taken a break from most of my forums since I was in between jobs, but had to come post this and say it is probably my second tastiest mead ever. Took the Ken Schramm Barleywine braggot recipe and tweaked it a good bit. Lightly carbed, maris otter malt, light cascade hops, buckwheat honey. Wowzers.
Anyone else signup for the Pye Road membership?
I'm retired from new memberships, but they make some good stuff. Manic was taking names last week, too.

Felt I should just move this over here.... Brewed a mead yesterday.... 1 gallon batch... 4 cups grapefruit juice 3 lbs honey The rest with bottled water (our water is super hard here) Lalvin EC-1118 yeast Yeast starter Pectin enzyme 1.11 OG Yeast were going crazy this morning when I work up.

Signed up for the emails and then when the invite rolled in I just stared at them blankly... Like OceanOfMead I already spend way too much $ on mead. I have met him though and tried a bunch of his stuff and was very impressed.
I am way impressed with a lot of the new stuff coming out (oh hay, we have 2 new flavors coming out in a month or so). So much more knowledge out there about TOSNA, step fermentation, sanitation, appreciation for a range of flavors and still to sparkling.
Speaking of. I made a sparkling cocktail with your latest batch of Gave My Love of Cherry and it was super!
I reallllllllllllllly wanted to but i just can't do more memberships. Pi/Pye meads have been stellar. And Matt seems like a good person (basing it on the time that i opened an explosive Arkane skittles crowler that exploded all over his gang at the garagiste party a couple years ago).

and probably way better then when they made mead from actual skittles. those bottles were on a scale of decent-terrible.

This is the only one he remade (and the bottle I sent Strife&Upheaval is from that remake batch) and yes I agree: this was the good one of the five. I'm glad he also felt the same way.

I will be honest and say I did not try batch two. I just sent them to folks cuz they're fun. I've heard from others though that they think b2 was better cuz it was more balanced or something.

If it’s selling out why not. Adesanya got shat on for their initial club pricing and redid the structure right away.
Oh I agree. Happy for him. $299 for 4 bottles however is not for me.
I got the email and opted not to because I'm spending too much on beer and mead as is. But I feel like Matt will do enough to make most people feel like that $300 was worth it.
If I had lots of disposable cash, I would've jumped on it as some of the pi/pye stuff is phenomenal.
