Pastries, baked goods, and donuts thread

Is this like the oyster thing, but with donuts?

I don't see how it's ever too early for donuts, regardless of type.
Cider mills opened like a week ago even up here. Cider donut season is here but it’s definitely early. That being said I nabbed some mediocre grocery store ones and I’ll be looking to nab better in a couple of weeks.

More so the apples, that are in the donuts and the fried pies, but they freeze and keep over stuff from last harvest, and have some varieties in North GA that get picked earlier.

You ain’t wrong- anytime is good - but I really favor an apple in season, and im probably 4 weeks away personally.

I also pass all the orchards coming home from NC, so it’s very seasonal for me still.

Spent the evening making Ritz Tagalongs (Peanut Butter Patties if you live in the other Girl Scout region). Had some leftover bark chocolate melted and I like to use it all up so I decided to chocolate dip the only potato chips I have in the house right now. I’ll let you know probably tomorrow if this was a terrible mistake.

Anyway we mashed this recipe with another one that calls for fresh sweet potato because the whole reason for making pie was we had some that were getting old and needed to be cooked up some way or another.

whipped cream is just whipping cream beat with a little honey.

Slightly altered a NYT recipe for tahini marble cookies. Couldn't source black tahini so I used cocoa and carob spread. Instead of black sugar, I lined the edges with black sesame seeds and demerara sugar.
