Early on it feels like you are dying, no lie. My wife and both do this, because it’s also flexible in lots of ways for seasons and such, and it actually kind of rewired our brains and habits is probably the better way to go about it.
I wasn’t ever really fat, fat, but I lost 50- ish and I’m close to my high school weight around 180 and feel amazing and have been able to maintain this since we started this a little over a year. My wife is a smaller lady, but she’s had three kids and isn’t one to work out much with her job and life, but has shrunk back into petite XS clothing. I find that just remarkable. My lab work and blood pressure are my measurements mostly and it’s amazing how changing the timing, quantities and quality of what we eat has done. I wish I had the drive to add extra levels like many do- but I simply don’t. We feel like we’ve unlocked an anti aging secret sometimes, and don’t have to really be strict per se in what we eat. I certainly don’t enjoy food as much as I used to, but it’s a trade off.
