I know I know, I am the only one that is juvenile enough to regularly wear bball shorts in my late 30s...but SLAM Goods (associated with Slam Magazine) puts out a bunch of retro college basketball shorts, including teams that lots of folks in this thread follow, and just some classic shorts from our formative CBB years. They are currently having a 40% off sale (saw the 04-05 Illini shorts included in that sale, for example).

Summer wardrobe taking shape.

Proud dad moment. Putting my older kid (4.3 years old) to bed tonight, he randomly asked me who's jersey #1 on UCLA MBB. I didn't know so started naming players it could be. He's like nah Dad, Skyy is 55, Bilo is 34, Dylan is 2, Kobe is 0, Dailey is 3, Mara is 15, Lazar is 10. I don't really know players' numbers so after I left his room I checked the numbers...and he literally got them all right. Season ended over a month ago and we haven't been focused on UCLA bball since then.

Yesterday I went outside when I wrapped up work and he was playing basketball. In his imaginary game, Dylan Cardwell was getting the game winning shot, Auburn over Florida (some revisionist history). One of many deep cuts he is pulling out in his imaginary bball games from teams we watched a couple times during the season.

I'm raising a real CBB sicko. My wife is not pleased with this use of his brain power.

Today was UCLA's basketball open house. It's a free event open to the public. Take a half court shot to win season tickets, shoot around on the court at Pauley, tour locker rooms, some player autographs. The players stuck around after their autograph sessions and played with the kids. My kid got to "play against" his favorite player, Eric Dailey Jr.

Do other programs do this? A super fun family friendly event. And shockingly lightly attended.

this is really interesting. i'm sure there are negative implications but my first reaction is "sick." as long as they don't try to turn it into some Wrexham nonsense.
Also, if they did this while Pitino was still there, he might never have left.

I think I could "become" a Mormon for a year for $7 mill.

Kinda wild to take money to go to a religious institution whose religion didn't think your race was worthy of getting into heaven until alarmingly recently. And whose founder believed that being black was a curse from God.

But I mean, get that bag I guess.
