College Basketball

BigFrank - what can you tell me about the two Iowa St transfers coming to Pitt next year? Dishon Jackson and Nojus Indrusaitis.

Dishon Jackson played at Washington State before Iowa State, so we saw a decent amount of him in the PAC. He is a very big, strong guy. Not really gonna pull his man outside, and not super vertically inclined either. Good, solid but not great player. Brings some toughness. Very different player from Pitt's tall skinny twins (are they gone?).

He really showed up for big games…then got benched for not showing to practice. We had another center that took up some slack. Bummed we lost him.

Nojus is a scorer, fast and will drive to the rim. He couldn’t get minutes because his defense was shit.

just fucking throw in the towel on editing in the internet era, i guess

Nate Amant's sneakers pay tribute to his mother Godlieve Mukankuranga's Rwandan ties. (Albert Ament)

Amen is the top-ranked uncommitted boys basketball player in the ESPN 100 Class of 2025. The 6-foot-9 Colgan High (Va.) forward is playing with the country’s top high school senior boys basketball players with Team USA against the top international teens in the Hoop Summit. Ament is still undecided on where he will be playing in college next season but could decide soon.

I know I know, I am the only one that is juvenile enough to regularly wear bball shorts in my late 30s...but SLAM Goods (associated with Slam Magazine) puts out a bunch of retro college basketball shorts, including teams that lots of folks in this thread follow, and just some classic shorts from our formative CBB years. They are currently having a 40% off sale (saw the 04-05 Illini shorts included in that sale, for example).

Yep! I haven't bought an issue in over 20 years but it's still somehow kicking.

I have some crazy old issues in a box at my parents'. Same with The Source and XXL.
