tasty but far from what holy mountain can do.

how is that drinkin? i still got a couple bottles
Not bad overall for as old as it is. Brewed in 09 then 18ish months in BT barrels I believe. Decent carb. Still some barrel character. Slightly thin in mouth feel. Tastes of figs, raisins, and chocolate w some oxidization. I felt it was solid overall but not great and on the downhill. Like a cheaper less in your face/interesting version of the old school BC barleywines before the infection issues. I have never tried the newer release of this.

I did and now I hate myself for spending $50 on a can

So this is my first time ever using Tavour. I tried, almost made it to the finish line, then the app got all glitchy and closed. Then when it reloaded, the only option was to add to waitlist, but when I pressed that button, it said I already had one in my cart. However, it was not showing up in the cart. To see if it would somehow magically appear in my cart, I added some shitty IPA that I don't actually want, and now the only thing in the cart is that shitty IPA. So I guess I'll be getting a box with a single can of IPA in a month.

It's absolutely the fate that I deserve.

Thanks iong516 ! The can says English, but I’m definitely getting some old hops there too (what I think of as American) - which I’m fine with - love it, thanks!

I got all excited to be able to buy a few from Toronado when assembling your box. I tried one after shipping to you, and it was ok but not really what I was expecting given how god tier the member can of Wren was. Cheers!

This is hitting just right for right now. Light in character for a BA BW but good dark fruit and oaky tannic notes, a wave of bourbon in the mid/end with more resinous, tannic finish, low sweetness, low hop aggression. This isn’t their best, but it’s damn good. Going down easy.

And now it appears in my cart. So before I just had to feel stupid for buying a single $7 beer I didn't want, now I get to feel stupid for buying a single $50 can of beer and a single $7 can of beer I didn't want. Fuck me. Why did I do that? Lockdown is affecting my judgment.

Are we gonna do a coordinated shotgun of these or what?

$65 for a 16 oz can makes me feel much better about ~$25 for my 22 oz bottle of B4K.

SIXTY FIVE DOLLARS. You duders are crazy.

All this money I'm not spending on restaurant food, gas, valet parking, airfare, hotels etc. is burning a hole in my pocket.

Does it make it better if I add on a bunch of other beers I don't actually want so that I get a "better deal" on shipping? 🤣🤣

Might as well get one of those $63 bottles of Hommage.

Ultimately, only God can judge you.

BA Numbskull and a burrito tonight. God damn, this beer is tasty but, aside from being almost 16%, it feels like it had a bit more than a couple fingers of bourbon in the barrel when the beer went in. Instant warming sensation in the throat and just heavy fucking barrel. Delicious, no complaints, perfect end of the week.
