Barleywine

My buddy was going to try to snag one of their HOTD Adam rebrew bottles, looking forward to trying that one.

Appropriately carbed (drinks almost flat) with that light peatiness. Pretty solid representation from what I recall, but it’s been a few years.

Drinking this reminded me of when I homebrewed an Adam clone and then “eis’d” 6 bottles worth (in some tupperware in the freezer) and then bottled it again. Turned out way better than in it should have.

Revolution Fifteen Year Beer

On the occasion of our quindecennial, we aimed to produce a celebratory Deep Wood Series blend representative of both our most disciplined and ostentatious tendencies.

The fusion of extended-aged, double barrel Straight Jacket and Ryeway to Heaven, each embellished with new French oak, is then finished with a surgical strike of sweet and tart cherries.

As pictured, the carb was a little high on this one to start which threw off the flavor. But as it sat, it settled into a great beer. The cherries were prevalent early (and tasty) but faded as the classic BW flavors took over as it warmed.

Feels flat? Looks fairly carbed. Adam is a top 10 and wondering if this is worth the trouble to seek.
