Same here, and also in Taiwan. When we had an overnight in Taipei their train system only accepted Visa cards so we ended up having to buy tokens for the kid and I since my wife and I have a shared Visa account even though our cards has different numbers.

In Japan we just get an IC card (Suica, Passmo, etc.) per person and next year will do the same in Taiwan.

I found out on the plane out of DC. So we only have a few years to actually experience it. (Google is telling me anywhere from 2-5)

The Washington State University campus in Vancouver near Portland has a corpse flower. My friend’s dad grew it and remains in charge of it.

We skipped some procedural motions at court this morning to see the inside plants at the national botanic garden. We fully missed the corpse flower but I have never seen so many orchids in my life.

Case is now with the jury for deliberation so we play the waiting game.

Fear and I are in DC this week to observe a trial for which my late father was a relator in a Federal False Claims case with an associated retaliation claim. My mom is now the relator (plaintiff on behalf of the US Govt). We have been sight seeing around the capitol and checking out a few restaurants when not in court.
