Pastries, baked goods, and donuts thread

I don't believe that I posted this last month for trip 1 to Copenhagen. This is a cinnamon bun from Collective Bakery, which is owned by the same people behind Coffee Collective.

This fucking thing was light and devine. The cinnamon, cardamom were rich. A subdued amount of sugar to balance it out. When you pulled it apart, it was incredibly delicate. On that trip, I had a cinnamon bun a couple notches of quality below this one. And one, many notches below.

(For me, their coffee was very good, but this bun was even more extraordinary)

Was out with friends last night, which led to “let’s go to Racine Bakery, Business Costco and Birreria Zaragoza tomorrow.” This is not the entirety of our Racine Bakery haul (not pictured are two tins of fish, two chocolate bars and two loaves of bread - a sourdough and a Lithuanian Rye). Pictured is a ring of poppyseed babka and buns - four of my beloved Lithianian bacon buns and two mushroom buns I have yet to try.

Orwhwashers, which is a NYC bakery, opened up on Long Island which is how I found out that they are contracted with Edith’s in Brooklyn to make Edith’s tahini coffee slushy, which Is too fucking good. So I went there for the drink and got a filled to order strawberry donut, which was quite delightful. Sugar rush for breakfast!
