Stopped in at Mindy’s while we were downtown. L to R, top then bottom.
2 choc chip and 2 ginger snap, 2 millionaire shortbread, slice of pork belly and giardinera stromboli, savory hand pie of which I recall pesto is an ingredient, and for tonight a Key Lime Pie bar. Will be snacking good this week. Some will be vacuum sealed and frozen for later so we can spread out the joy til our next visit.

anyone got a decent rhubarb bars recipe?
I meant to get back to this. I don’t usually make bars, but rather a crisp that is super yummy. I am trying to find the recipe but frankly you can mix and match these things for the fruit you want to use and whether you want to do a buckle, crisp or cobbler. The one I like to use for rhubarb has candied ginger in it and you can do it with or without strawberries. But it’s less portable being not a bar.

85F outside today? Sure, let’s fire up the oven. Tried a new-to-me bread recipe.

And harvested some rhubarb from the yard, so my wife found a muffin recipe to try

Friday night I got an extreme craving for cobbler and/or crisp. Bought white peaches on sale yesterday and just spent the last hour slicing peaches and mashing up brown sugar, cubing butter, etc. Just baking it in the toaster oven but goddamn am I hot. Why did I think this was a good idea?
