Tell me about the eggs ... how long do you cook them before they go in the meatloaf? All the way, or do they cook more in the center of the meatloaf?

Man to be honest I wanted them to end up soft boiled with the runny yolk , but being high I over cooked them when I boiled them .The meatloaf took like 2.5 hours at 275 still some soft yolk .....

I think Kenji’s POV YouTube videos in his kitchen are my favorite cooking shows. You see all the normal things you might do when cooking, not pretentious…dog showing up, the occasional mistake. Totally makes me feel like I can make this stuff. Plus he just seems so damn nice.

Made some butter chicken and garlic naan. I ripped it all shitty to put it on my plate but it’s so goddamn good. Woulda had some cilantro on here preferably but had nothin green for garnish

probably a cross post- grilled up some red snapper we caught, rubbed with an oil mix of a bunch of spices, an acidic cilantro slaw with some mango salsa. Simple and great tasting weekday dinner.

Picked up some yuzu extract for a dish I want to make this week and holy fuck can this stuff get me drunk or high? $16 for ~8oz, lol.

I'll never complain about the price of a dish with yuzu again.

The fruit itself is expensive and that extract price doesn’t sound high to me. I buy this spicy yuzu paste and it’s $7-8 for a tiny tube at the Costco sized Asian store here.

Luckily the extract is strong so I think it will last a while. I put a tiny amount (like 5ml) in a vodka and soda and it’s still prominent. Looking forward to using this stuff.

I enjoy anytime I can go to our Japanese supermarket just so I can buy like a dozen onigiri for the week. Nomnomnom.
