Video Games

I'm not much of a video game player any more, unfortunately. But I still have a ps4.
Finished my first game in a while, Marvel's Spider-Man, which was a ton of fun to play. Zipping around the city, pretty good storyline, all of it was fun. Only took me about 15 months.
My glorious and studious wife is back in school (mostly online), so that has freed me up for a couple more games. I got The Avengers (I can play while my wonderful wife works and she likes the MCU storylines), and UFC 3 (because I love MMA and really liked the old ps3 UFC game).

That's it. Just wanted to report what I'm doing.

Typical lame ass Nintendo:

Maybe there will be more details but that's a pretty disappointing update if it's just upscaling in docked mode a slightly bigger OLED screen with the same resolution.

Stop splitting up your customer base and don't half ass your system from the get-go. We don't need another New 3DS.

Having not had a Playstation console since the original, thus never having been online with it, are there demos games you can download for the PS5 and such? I got the disc version on purpose but I just got an email saying that the package will be delivered tomorrow and the Spiderman game I bought used on Amazon isn't going to arrive until Friday.

The system comes with a game called Astro's Playroom built in. It's function is to get you comfortable with the controller, but it is also a fun and well-designed game in its own right. I played it for a good 45 minutes when I first got my PS5, and have actually gone back to it here and there since.

Demos are pretty much on a game-to-game basis - some have them, many don't.

One bit of advice though given your time away from gaming ... even if you don't plan to play games online, it would probably be worth your while to get PS+. This is a $60 annual subscription (often on sale for less) which is what allows you to play games online and gives a couple free games each month.

I recommend it because for PS5 users, they have included the PS+ Collection which gives you access to a whole bunch of the best PS4 games right off the bat ...

Playstation exclusives:
  • Bloodborne
  • Days Gone
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • God of War
  • Infamous Second Son
  • Ratchet and Clank
  • The Last Guardian
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Until Dawn
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Others:
  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Battlefield 1
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles Edition
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  • Fallout 4
  • Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition
  • Monster Hunter: World
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Persona 5
  • Resident Evil 7 biohazard

I bought my PS Plus subscription for cheap from a super shady joint called cdkeys:

I haven't had my credit card stolen yet as far as I can tell.
I've used cdkeys before with no problem.

Will also vouch for them as a good vendor and have seen them list awesome sale prices

I've been convinced for years that CDKeys is a legitimate middleman fronting keys from fraudulent purchasers.

They won't steal your lunch but the Keys probably fell off the back of a truck.
