How many caps for that?
Did a rule recently change so that you can't just fly with bergs (or any similar sized bottle)? I usually have one or two nips or Boston rounds in my carry on when I fly. Never crossed my mind it was an issue since it's under the liquid volume limit.Snuck a berg thru TSA at AUS yesterday. I thought I was busted when they pulled my backpack out for an extra scan, but it turned out I'd forgotten to empty my water bottle.

I'm pretty sure you can bring them, but not drink them on the plane or in the airport. Several years back I had a TSA agent laugh when I pulled out my Ziploc bag of liquids comprised solely of liquor. But a rule change wouldn't shock me either.I honestly have no idea. Just struck me as something they might take since it contains alcohol and I doubt a random TSA agent would know what it is. It was also in my toiletry bag, so it might not have been as obvious as if it was in a pocket or something.
If I saw someone fixing up an old fashioned on a flight I’d definitely buy their next round.I have brought my own bitters on a flight to juj up in flight drinks. I don’t think anyone cares as long as you are not drinking more alcohol than they know you are consuming.
