Did a rule recently change so that you can't just fly with bergs (or any similar sized bottle)? I usually have one or two nips or Boston rounds in my carry on when I fly. Never crossed my mind it was an issue since it's under the liquid volume limit.

I honestly have no idea. Just struck me as something they might take since it contains alcohol and I doubt a random TSA agent would know what it is. It was also in my toiletry bag, so it might not have been as obvious as if it was in a pocket or something.

I'm pretty sure you can bring them, but not drink them on the plane or in the airport. Several years back I had a TSA agent laugh when I pulled out my Ziploc bag of liquids comprised solely of liquor. But a rule change wouldn't shock me either.

That’s definitely a big no no federal offense not worth it move imo. NA bitters would be fine though? I have no problem bringing rounds on a carryon but wouldn’t test fate drinking any outside booze in the plane.
 
I mean technically disobeying any order from flight crew is a federal offense and also we have now reached such a societal breakdown that there are now “keep your hands to yourselves” announcements at the start of every flight. It should go without saying but don’t draw attention to yourself and don’t be obnoxious and no one will even notice.

I would be much more concerned about needing to use an airplane bathroom after consuming a Berg on a flight or in the airport just before flying. 😬 No thank you.
