Eh?

Thanks. I was playing around with that site a little bit. Guess I should have asked a more specific question - is there a decent liquor store (as distinguished from other liquor stores that I shouldn't stop at) between Eugene Airport and Coos Bay? Please don't go to too much effort trying to generate an answer...I'll probably just go wherever and get a crowd pleaser for $50 or $60.

Yeah, be aware that the OLCC site might list some harder-to-get stuff at some stores, but most of the time these days the stores will just say they don't have them, or that it's allocated, or make you sign up for their store "lottery." Regardless, you should be able to find something perfectly acceptable in that price range.

Ended up just grabbing a bottle of Kentucky Spirit at a store nearish Eugene Airport. I'm pretty sure I am the only one who even touched it all weekend.

I've gotten used to paying the OLCC prices... it was $60 or so? A lot of stuff I paid $20 for in Santa Cruz 12 years ago, is now $40 in Portland... and I know people will say "inflation", yada yada, but that includes stuff like Jameson and Fernet, it's ridiculous.
I guess I should just start going towards the $50-$75 price point.

So Three Creeks quietly sold their brewpub and shut down their production facility. The brewpub will remain open under new management. But from what I've heard, it sounds like the production facility will eventually be sold as well.

I'm not 100% sure, but based on the last few years, I'm assuming they're done making the west coast version & it'll be all hazy for the rest of the summer.

Much to my chagrin

Also clevelandisthecity , if no PDX people can help you out (since they'll have better, quicker access), I can try to get some for you. How much are you looking for?
Are there still cans around of the non-hazy version? Based on timing they should only be like a month old right now. Honestly I'd just like to try some of each. A four pack of each would be fine. Does pliny/blind pig make it's way around there?

Theoretically, there are still cans of the non-haze, but I haven't seen any at my normal spots for a couple weeks. I can check around some other places this weekend if I get a chance. Pliny & Pig come around about once a month or so. There was a drop a couple weeks ago, so there could be some floating around. If not, it'll be back soon enough.

Long winding story, but I am getting dragged by my wife to a long weekend in Coos Bay starting tomorrow with several of her friends and their significant others (whew!). Flying into Eugene and driving straight to the coast. Will probably be stuck inside working practically the whole time, but any suggestions for good liquor stores to maybe snag a bottle of bourbon/rye on the way from Eugene to Coos Bay (know Oregon is a control state)?
Was just in Coos bay. Same time as you apparently. Pretty little town.

Ale Apothecary is for sale. It's hard to imagine someone buying a brewery like this in today's beer climate. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Oh no. Wolf Tree is easily one of the worst breweries in Oregon. Couldn’t even get half way through a taster flight there.

Not to be confused with Wolves and People, who I thought it said, until I read this......
