This pic looks a mess, but if you hang out in the Mead Bookface groups you should be familiar with Carvin Wilson. He posted a recipe in Mead Cocktails for 2oz Mead (he used a fruity Schramms, and I would say stick to something that is primarily a bold fruit and not too much pastry - 41414 has cinnamon and vanilla but is primarily a lot of blueberry and just needed a little something to lift the heavy sweet), 1 oz each Tequila (I brought a cheap Costco mezcal I bought for making Palomas) and good triple sec (he used Grand Marnier, I brought Contreau), dash of lime juice.
That cocktail KICKED ASS. Will make again.

OT, but what year was that KRE that's lurking back there, and how was it?
12, and it dried out a bunch but was not an absolute bomb of… god forgetting the word this morning (I’ll blame yesterday’s Benadryl holiday) that old stout and barleywine flavor where it sits on the lees in the bottle too long. Not the carboard or caramel, the other one that took over the anniversary party bottles. I hate that flavor. Usually really sensitive to it. Actually was quite pleasant if slightly over the hill. Will try to drink the rest sooner than later.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, bur B Nektar has Dark Dark Goose (different, non-goose barrel) and Eyeball B2 on their webshop rn. Between that and Wandering Woden, I am not doing very well at drinking more mead than I buy this month.

apparently I needed to hear it because I bought both. Never had DDG but always wanted to try it. and loved the eye.
Dolphinately didn’t need this right now but screw it. Been going through more Mead than beer lately.
