We could only stay for an hour due to other obligations. L to R is Sesh: Kiwi Strawberry, Gin Amythyst and Sesh Lemonade. Not pictured: Stroopwaffle.Brandy barrel, please. What did you have?
Been meaning to give this place another try at the urging of others. Their house culture when they first opened was… not great.
Second time I tried, I liked the elderberry but the Basil Lemongrass was a hard pass.
Today, I had my mom try the elderberry while I ordered two new to me meads. Salt Box Summer is cherry sourspop (risky but I am a sucker and try them always), and Out of Left Field, based on the Orange Crush cocktail. Both are great session meads I would be happy to drink anytime. And the space is lovely.
They have shade cabanas for the picnic tablesSo they’re no longer in a barren industrial space that’s hotter than the sun?
Love that! Last time I was in I was talking to Joy about my love of French 75 drink.
MJ Pips has a dry champagne style cyser based French 75. And it’s perfect. Left glass is a purposefully oxidized pour of the truffle mead which has some great sherry tones, more pronounced truffle and me still telling Matt he should have used Italian Chestnut.

Crafted Mangolorian is stupid good. Maybe a hair too sweet in quantity but dangerous how good it is.
I get where they were going with the name on this but anything that encourages dudes to say “I am always grateful for head” is a bad name. No one thinks your joke is funny. Beverage itself is fine.
6 years is the correct age for this mead.
The lime flavor is still too loud. Very polarizing. I added a little Saturn (Standard mead based on the cocktail) to mine to lighten how bright the lime is in this. I think all the flavors are there but the lime is just too much without more sweetness and age didn’t help.
We can be unspecial together once I get through the next few weeks. I can drive up there. It’s fine.
Oh snap you made it out there. I may make it out there later.
