Seltzer/Sparkling Water Discussion

The seltzer price creep is getting ridiculous. I bang on the Aldi passion fruit or tangerine, as well as some of the target brand flavors.

I just slam way too many of them this time of year to be spending $5, $6, even $7 per 8 or 12 pack on some of these brands. Gimme those off brands or the $1 Polar liter bottles (that aren’t nearly as good as canned but still good).

Then again, I’ve been telling myself for 5 years that I would stop going to my local coffee place to buy cold brew at lunch when I can just make it at home, but I guess I pick weird things to be a cheap ass about.
I just buy LaCroix when it’s on sale 2for so I haven’t noticed.

I never see Lacroix sales like that. Sometimes the basic flavor 12 packs will be a deal, but those are no better than store brands

I rotate between Polar, Canada Dry (like their Lemon Lime for some reason), and maybe Aha when it comes to name brands that go on sale. Otherwise it’s the store brands for my cheap ass.

Plus, a large portion of these just get added onto about 4 fingers of vodka in a large Tervis anyway. So what’s the point. (boogercrack knows)

Oh weird. I swear last time I bought more LaCroix it was 2 for $7. I like to use it to dilute mead so one 12 pack is always plain and one is one other flavor (usually Pamp, but this time I grabbed Watermelon for fun).

Costco has two different variety packs of La Croix at the moment and they're pretty damn cheap.

I guess the topo shortage has finally hit near me. Costco was out of my normal rack or 20oz bottles. I grabbed the 18 pack of bottles and thought it was heavy, but maybe it was just due to other activity that day, maybe just tired.

Anyways, this morning on the way to work I popped one, thought, damn this is different. Sure as shit it's a 500mL bottle, not 12oz.

Wtf when did this happen? I really liked the serving size. Not on the product list:

I legit love the Ugly seltzers. The cherry cola flavor and Dr. Ugly flavors really scratch my soda itch.

I have been really limiting the alcohol intake, and when I do that I just absolutely plow seltzers.

That being said, get the fuck outta here with the $20 24 packs. So there goes any savings from not buying beer.

Got a Soda Stream Terra for my birthday from my girlfriend, and it's goddamn amazing. I have two 500mL and two 1L bottles as well as some flavorings. I haven't done the math (because I'm not good at it), but I have to be saving a fuckton of money over the long run

This is more of the San Pellegrino 12% Juice variety but it’s a very strong lemon soda flavor and I love Sicilian lemon juice. So bright! Another pick from the local Italian grocery. No pic but I opened a rhubarb apple one the other day that was to die for.
