So Qobuz just completely updated CarPlay and it’s 1000 times better and now with voice commands, so the one thing I didnt like has been fixed:)

I made the switch and generally like it. I'm no audiophile, but the sound quality does seem better than Spotify.

A few gripes:
- I noticed that a lot of the larger (100+ song) playlists I transferred are missing a couple/few songs, and there's really no way to know what they are without doing a tedious side-by-side comparison
- unless I'm missing it, there's no gapless playback setting. There are some albums where songs flow together and without the gapless playback, there's a brief pause between tracks
- it'll drop out for a few seconds when it switches from wi-fi to mobile internet.

None of these are dealbreakers though, so I think I'll stick with it.

coach what OS are you using? I haven’t noticed a gapless issue, but I’ve been using it a while. I believe at some point there was 1) if intended it played as gapless, otherwise a half second pause and 2) was a problem on chromecast?

I forget though. I’m on Apple

Android. It might also be more noticeable because I had the crossfade set to 2-3 seconds on the Spotify app. That's also not an option on Qobuz.

After a certain point I realized how many songwriters are credited on most works these days and decided 'so what if Cobain might have written this'.
When you listen to the four albums it's clearly the same songwriters (we now know it was primarily Courtney and Eric) just getting better at their craft. The big jump in production budgets had more to do with their sound evolving imo. Nowadays I'm not even sure Corgan's contributions to Celebrity Skin are as significant as I used to think they were. Or I think Melissa Auf der Maur was at least as major in the overall scheme of things.

This presupposes the songwriting got better over time. I don't agree.

But my overall point was who cares about that controversy. Live Through This is awesome.
