$48 for an 18” tribute to a Costco Pizza?
All of the portions were massive...but we did not order the Costco pizza.

Whenever people say this I'm always left thinking "not massive for me" as I eat the whole thing and look for more. All of the portions were massive...but we did not order the Costco pizza.
Also it's pizza. Massive doesn't double the price.Whenever people say this I'm always left thinking "not massive for me" as I eat the whole thing and look for more.
This is not the greatest Pizza in the world, this is only a Tribute! No photos, but really enjoyed Tribute Pizza in San Diego last night. All of their pies are "tributes" to pies from other pizzerias. The grandma style pie with ricotta, garlic and caramelized onion was the winner for me. The salads and sides were also great.
Jerm if you're taking the 5 back stop off at truly (if you haven't been) in Dana Point it's worth the side quest.
Tell us more about the fermented basil paste!
We had a ton of basil from the garden last summer and Mrs. FUCK just did a simple lacto fermentation with it and blended it up. A little salty, a little funky and it retained some classic basil flavor/color.Tell us more about the fermented basil paste!

I should also mention this beast was $`14, plus $1.50 per per topping and they have a lot of choices. That's a lunch. A one day lunch. Come back for dinner.
deep fried v. baked, usually. With maybe slightly different doughs.Pizza puff? Isn't that just a calzone?
edit: Oh is that using puff pastry instead of pizza dough?
Huh. Chicago thing?deep fried v. baked, usually. With maybe slightly different doughs.
Yes. A normal pizza puff is like a deep fried hot pocket with puff pastry dough. They use shitty hormel pepperoni and as someone who grew up eating pepperoni rolls I loathe them. I put this place on my list to try thinking it would change my mind and it did.Huh. Chicago thing?
