Last Word. Finally opened the bottle of Green Chartreuse. This is delicious. Don’t worry Nathan I’ll still have plenty to share with you.
I did equal parts and it went down very easily. Are you a equal Parts last word person, or a double gin last word

Any thoughts on a different vermouth? Martini & Rossi Rosso suits me just fine for my Negronis. $11/liter is nice too.Negroni test so far:
London dry with Aperol: Smooth but not much happening. Bland
London dry with Bruto Americano: Very herbal. Complex but too floral.
Barr Hill with Bruto: The clubhouse leader. Sweetness of the Barr Hill valences nicely with the bitter, floral notes of the Bruto. I have high hopes for the Tom Cat version.
Tom Cat with Cynar: Tasty but a tad sweet. Needs a hint more bitterness.
Taking a break but this is fun.
I don’t know enough about vermouth. I use Dolin as my go to sweet and held it as a constant here. I was toying with trying Noilly Prat but I’m spending enough on alcohol right now.Any thoughts on a different vermouth? Martini & Rossi Rosso suits me just fine for my Negronis. $11/liter is nice too.
Good to know. For negronis I truly love Carpano Antica as my vermouth. It's slightly pricier but I think it's worth it.
I got a small bottle of Dolin to get through the holidays because I was thinking of trying something new but didn’t know what to get. I appreciate the recs. Also need to get some lillet blanc for a white Negroni.Carpano Antica, along with Cocchi de Torino are beautiful vermouths and provide a silky richness to the cocktail.

I started with a small bottles to check them out and found they suit me better in higher abv whiskey drinks as they knock down the heat.
