You know who makes a coffee liqueur? Not sure if I'll ever have coffee liquor in my arsenal, so need to ask how this is.
Obviously need to like coffee (cuz some people don’t). I’ve seen recipes where the gin is replaced with the coffee liqueur entirely, but I like having the gin in there. Then, ratios will depend on the coffee liqueur that you use. The one I have is actually a barrel aged version of the distillery’s standard, and is a bit sweeter, which is why I lowered the amount of vermouth. Coffee adds flavor and more depth overall. Good to have options over the standard recipe. Not sure if I'll ever have coffee liquor in my arsenal, so need to ask how this is.
I couldn't tell the difference based on the fill level.
1.5:1:1 was always my go-to ratio when bartending. It allowed the gin to come through and hid a little bit of the campari bitterness/rounded out the flavors.
It's the easiest thing to get right.
