Maybe the rest of you knew this but TIL Bill Hader got into film because of The Evil Dead and was a PA on the first Sam Raimi Spiderman. Honestly that explains a lot about his sense of humor.

I enjoyed The Christophers. I'm in the bag for Sodie so this isn't an objective review or anything, but I really enjoyed the tonal balance of the serious matter being considered (pondering legacy as a creative, the effects of aging and regret, and other things that aren't often pondered in Soderbergh's work) with McKellan having an absolute ball chewing the scenery. This is my first time seeing Michaela Coel in something and she more than holds her own against a legend. She reminds me of Cillian Murphy where half the time I'm looking at her face I'm thinking "Is this an alien?" She is an arresting performer and every time she's on screen my gaze is drawn to her, even when she's standing next to Ian McKellan. Also, god-tier stunt casting of James Corden as an absolute piece of shit.

Goddamnit the music biopic slop will never stop now.
