I wasn't feeling any of my catalog of new movies last night so I watched There Will Be Blood for the thousandth time. I know I'm not saying anything new here but it's probably the greatest movie of all time.
How would you rank PTA's movies? I haven't seen Blood in a few years, but recently watched The Master and Phantom Thread and was fucking blown away, whereas Magnolia has maybe became my least favorite.

I haven't seen a PTA movie since that one. I fucking hated it. I should probably get over it. I've heard great things about TWBB, but when I think maybe about watching it I remember Magnolia and think fuck that.

I’m an unabashed Hard Eight fan and would easily watch it over The Master. I just think it is such a confident debut. Funny too.
Admittedly, I need to watch Inherent Vice again since I only saw it twice. I am a Pynchon fan but I actually threw this book in the trash after I finished reading it so this clearly clouded my feelings.
I also think PDL is just wonderfully cute 90 minute movie.
A guy I know posted to Instagram a shot of him being the only one in a movie theater on Long Island. Seems about right.
I have made a mistake.
For a podcast (gregkoko) I am watching The Happening and The Last Airbender tonight. Fuck both of those movies. The Happening is one of the worst things I have ever seen. The Last Airbender is also very stupid but at least has some pretty visuals and fun costumes. But fuck both of these movies.

I'm a huge fan of the Avatar The Last Airbender cartoon, and that movie adaption is an abomination. Truly terrible. The happening is also just pure fucking stupidity.

My cousin had a small part in The Happening. While filming outside of Philadelphia, our grandmother passed away. Night (as the cast and crew called him) had a car drive my cousin to the service in New Jersey.
Despite this anecdote dealing with my grandma’s funeral, it’s more enjoyable to recall than watching the movie ever was.
