I’m most likely not going to have time to go to any breweries, but if I’m out somewhere grabbing some BBQ or tacos, what should I be looking for that is local and good. Also may venture down to Sugar Land to see a AAA baseball game.

Maybe boogercrack can answer this a little better. I normally just drive straight through that area on my way into Houston if I'm taking the I-10 in from Austin.
Get some Art Car or Yellow Rose and you'll be happy. If somehow you come across True Anomaly, it'll be an older keg but still good (they recently closed but they were the best brewery in Houston). Mini Boss is also pretty good.

Is True Anomaly really not going to relocate? That fucking sucks. That whole road project sucks... I loved that little walkable area of town they're going to be leveling for more highway!
Always fun to go to Saint Arnold in town though. Their burger is killer. If we are meeting someone downtown that's where I usually suggest.
I've actually been to Lone Pint to get an in-person Yellow Rose before. That reminded me more of being in someone's backyard than being at a brewery but it was also likely 5-6 years ago. No idea how they output as much beer as they do!
