voodoo delivers. i was just talking to someone about how i had bbt and black magick side by side and thought they were both on par with each other. only difference is sp booth had an hour wait and voodoo had no line lol.

another bonus with voodoo is price. 4 roses red wax was like $12 a bottle when it was released lol. even now the prices are pretty darn good.

sp is great but waaay over priced (although in this day and age retail is arbitrary lol)

I am sitting on more bottles of black magick than anyone should. But having said that, id wager a bet that I have also drank more of that beer than possibly anyone else.

I learned a long time ago about just how amazing this beer is and gets with some age. It is easily my favorite beer made in our state. I was lucky enough to have the original 09 batch a couple times and then bought 2 full cases of the black cat label 2011 bottling from a distributor and some extra singles from a bottle shop.

I attended the 2013 release and was able to not only get an allotment but my buddy also got one and then subsequently decided he didnt want to drink anymore and gave me his allotment minus a bottle or 2. Later that year, the 2013 bottles were also sold at an event in Philly and I had friends who went and bought a case each of pappy and BT. After everyone went through the line, they were trying to get rid of the extra bottles and they scooped them all up - so I got even more of them.

I have been extremely fortunate to get bottles of every batch that has been released since.

If you ever decide that you don't want all of those bottles, I'm here for you.

For a while I had tried every Black Magick released to date (including 09 and 11), but not the case anymore as the releases have picked up in frequency over the last few years.

Would take any of them in a heartbeat. It's hard to even rank them, though I probably have the biggest soft spots for Apple Brandy, Pappy and 4 Roses (though neither of the Buffalo Trace batches were too shabby either).

For my money, it's the best stout series around, period.

My old Fantomes and Voodoo stouts are pretty much the only 2 types of beer that I wont part with.

But if this pandemic ever comes to an end and we cross paths, id gladly pop some open to share.

I was just messing around but yes, if I ever find myself out that way we will pop bottles. Was hoping to make it to Good Vibes this year but seems like that's not in the cards.

That PVW BM from 13 was so amazing. Had next to B1 KBBS at that time and more than held its own. Have u had that one recently? If you are sitting on multiples of that u are fortunate for sure
