who the heck is this?? guy sent it to me as an extra on facebook of all places. nose is odd, heavy savory notes. wasn’t expecting much but a poorly made ba stout. flavor is crazy, lots of chocolate and excellent barrel. can’t really describe another ba stout like it honestly, which makes it refreshing of what you can do with adjuncts. seek this guy out, it’s good

They’re a relatively new spot that’s put out some solid lagers out the gate, but didn’t know they had a barrel program. This didn’t see distro so I may need to seek it out.

Most of their barrel program is dedicated to members. They have put out some really good stout and barleywine too.

everyone wants pastry these days. i put weldwerks at the top of the stout game. this is blended to perfection.

along with 1910 and premier vol 2 ( tho that was aged in maple bourbon barrels, does that disqualify from this thread?) weldwerks is leading the pack in 2020

oreo one on deck for this week, kinda scared about that guy but if this is the base i know it will be good, those results are for another thread however

This was very good. Mikkeller SD Voodoo collab. Pretty old school stout - bourbon [I think Weller] barrels and brandy barrels. Medium body, decent amount of char. Not getting much hype, but more for us 🤷‍♂️

Drinkable, the brandy and bourbon both come through, kinda old school thinner body, but I’m fine w that, good charred oak and balanced heat.

Copy/pasted the review from a group chat, funny we both said old school and char 🍻

Yeah, those are pretty similar reviews. Tasted like a stout I woulda gone nuts over in 2012 or 2013, which was refreshing honestly. Wish I'd bought more (well, I have more, but they are to send to friends when safe).

Looks like Goose is announcing this years BCS lineup. I started to like this one - oatmeal stout base (sure!), coffee (finally) and… maple syrup (…never mind). Considering how many stores still have bottles of last year’s lineup, I wonder if they will scale back on the number of choices for this year or make other changes.

Edit: Saw the thread on Twitter. Since it’s /9, I guess they’re not scaling back on anything.

Ew. Earl Gray is real. I was hoping that was fake.
