Last night I finished watching Jury Duty on Prime. A 9 (I think) episode series with a bunch of D list actors and James Madden and a guy off the street who somehow gets roped into this production.
Which still doesn't make any sense. The production company is going to choose 1 person at random to send a fake jury duty notice to ? Can't they go on trial themselves for impersonation of the California judicial system ? BigFrank

I thought it was hilarious. That poor dude had to just keep wondering what the fuck was going on.
The whole thing was absurd but I did laugh watching it. I still think about that soaking bit just because of how absurd it was. A+

Lot of chatter about this show when it came out. The courthouse is the actual Huntington Park Courthouse. It hasn’t been in use for over twenty years, but the police department and civic center is still in operation.
As I recall the main guy is an aspiring actor and initially it was billed as a documentary about a real trial. So he had to go sign all the appropriate waivers and it would explain all the cameras, but everything would seem legit otherwise.
I tell you what. That judge was the real deal. He could post up and do the job and no one would know the difference. Love that show.

I’ve been really hard on Matt Vogel being cast as Kermit replacing the Kermit I’ve heard the most in my generation, Steve Whitmire, but I think my opinion changes today.
The Muppet Show special that Disney+ put up that is pretty much a public pilot (they only made 1) is fantastic.
Disney must’ve put so much cash into that. Muppets have always been high production value and it did not disappoint. Every shot is quality (and graded in 4K Dolby Vision HDR) … and that can’t be easy with literally your actors being props!
Sabrina Carpenter as the special guest idolizing Ms Piggy (and their outfits match in almost every scene) was also perfect.
Please watch it so I get more episodes.

The new season of Shrinking is cementing it as one of my very favorite shows of the last decade.
I’m loathe to agree with you, but when you’re right, you’re right. It’s delightful and made me very, very happy.
Definitely on the list to watch. We are big fans of what Apple has done with Fraggle Rock, too. Very good caretakers of the material.

really thought it would start to lose steam by now, but it's steadily going strong. all the characters are perfect. minus Alice, she's kind of a bitch and i feel like the writers don't know what to do with her character. The having all of sudden interest in Soccer came out of left field.

Agreed about Alice. I feel like they are doing the college thing to potentially have her take way less of a role. I will say that the last episode was fucking hilarious.
When Derek calls the guy that Liz cheated on him with and ends it with "two cincinnati bitch" my wife and I couldn't stop laughing.
They've shown Alice playing soccer since the very first episode of the show
