Any noteworthy beer destinations in Eugene or Ashland? Finished trip planning and will be up that way next week.
I know a guy who lives in Medford and he's always drinking at Beerworks.Stopping in Medford for the night on the way to Portland this weekend. Anything in Medford worth checking out? Beer or wine? Food?

I'll be in Sisters for a wedding in September and it's on my to do list. While we are talking not Portland. Has anyone tried Funky Fauna yet? They're in Sisters, OR.
I think they’re literally the only option now. The other brewery (Standing Stone or something like that) closed recently.Ashland is a bit of a wasteland for beer. Caldera is still about the only thing there.

That seems like pretty much THE option in Medford. I've never been there though, so I can't independently confirm. I HAVE had the pizza at Kaleidoscope Pizza before, and that was shockingly good. I just got carry out, but it looks like they have a solid tap list as well.
Take solace in the fact you'll always have Gilgamesh. The article I just posted in the Portland thread reminded me of this as well... Vagabond Brewing has ceased operations at all locations.

Salem, Oregon based brewery and it’s Portland location face an uncertain future.newschoolbeer.com
Their original brewery was a real step forward for beer in Salem, and I hung out there on occasion. Victory Club, a cool divey beer bar in downtown Salem, was one of the best bars downtown and always had a strong taplist. The Portland location was nice too, but I admittedly only went there once. The weirdest thing is how they just quietly shut down. I didn't expect Victory Club to come back after shutting down at the start of COVID, but it's surprising to see them shutter entirely. I know those guys a little bit, see them out from time-to-time, and they're all well-known around town, so it's surprising they just hung it up like nothing happened.
Anyway, this really sucks. Salem's beer scene in general feels like it peaked in 2017/18 and has just been on a downward trajectory ever since. I haven't even been able to find Heater Allen Pils around town lately. I'm glad it's summer and I can get by on High Life.

Best places for beer/food along I-84?
Barley Brown's would be my guess.
And pFriem.Barley Brown's would be my guess.
Solera for the view. I haven’t been to Everybody’s Brewing in White Salmon, but their beer is decent.Should have clarified west of the I-82 junction.
Although I've never been to Baker City (or anything east of 97), I suppose it could be a fun little side trip...
Solera's view is incredible and their beer is good (not as good as pFriem), but I can't remember if they even have food.Solera for the view. I haven’t been to Everybody’s Brewing in White Salmon, but their beer is decent.
But Mr Gundam has the correct answer. Pfriem all day.
