I’ve got a pork butt that is going to be done earlier than anticipated.

Should I wrap in foil and just let it sit? Wrap in foil and put in a cooler? Don’t wrap at all?

I don’t have butcher paper

Here's an article from AmazingRibs on how to do this:

Foil pan with foil and leave it in the smoker with it shut off. Itll insulate usually, but if not, cooler it.

Strip turned out great but the bigger news is that I had the first “good” corn of the year. It wasn’t late July corn and I’m sure it was from someplace well south but it tasted fresh and sweet.

Good corn on the cob is my favorite thing. Nothing says “SUMMER” like good corn. I can (AND HAVE!) consumed a full dozen ears in one sitting.

Agreed, when you get that GOOD stuff and grill it up, it’s perfection and you always know it after that first bite.

Bought a portable pellet smoker/grill yesterday for camping. It's actually 12v so it works off a car or deep cycle battery, or you can use it on a 120v circuit. We figure we hang out enough we may as well smoke some meat while we chill.

Posted it in here a while back but bought one a bit ago and love it! Has been remarkably consistent temp wise for its size and has been epic for camping/vacation!

Grilled on charcoal today:
A bunch of chicken breasts for lunches this week.
Two heads of garlic, mashed up with some butter and herbs to use for garlic bread tomorrow.
Half a dozen chicken legs rubbed with cayenne pepper for dinner.
Pork tenderloin filets wrapped with bacon for dinner.
Foil-wrapped baked potatoes for dinner.

I was going to do one for my birthday party this year, revive my college and high school years and introduce these texas people to how we did it in NC, but I can't find a rental smoker that's wide enough. And don't want to tear my yard up doing a block pit.

Even sourced a hog. Backed out.
