Membership Renewal Season

I have lifetime so I am not paying to renew. I don’t max on allocations or anything but I am also okay with a significant portion of my cellar being mead. I buy lagers and pale ales to drink fresh and pull mead out of the cellar when I want some.

And the only annual club I keep up these days is Pips but the fee is cheap and it’s local and run by a friend. I also get a few bottles from friends off one or two other memberships locally but they aren’t mine to upkeep.

I would say some memberships are worth it if they are local and give you a discount. If you are already visiting the place a few times per month, the 10% off (if it applies to beer) adds up fast. Otherwise, some are worth it because they give you access to beers you want but can't buy without the club. In the end, being a prat that asks people why they are spending money on something in a totally obnoxious way is pretty on brand for tosh though.

On top of that CA is one of the most generous states with beer/wine shipping and has so many amazing options to choose from. To pretend that everyone else has equal access that he does and then to act all douchy about it is 100% on brand.

I'm guessing the Urquell and u Fleku memberships are a little easier to get into
 
I wanted to join Private Press but didn't want to deal with the hassle of finding a proxy/paying for shipping/etc. It's been awhile since I've been in the trading/shipping game and don't really want the hassle or expense. I'm a Jackie O's member and I'm good with that for now.

I didn't know Jackie O's had a membership now - I may look into that down the road. I was in their original Staff club until it was cancelled and miss that. Bummed I missed out on Private Press, but I'm hoping to track some of those beers down eventually.
