I don't think they've released officially what they received but their post sounds like they worked the AI stuff out

Thank god. I have found the use of AI and holograms creepy and think informed consent in this area is important. The fact that studios stood so firm on it for so long is gross. I get wanting to recoup what they can if someone dies mid-shoot, but in perpetuity without consent is big yikes.

I mean they can still do all that stuff but it needs to be an individual deal in an actor's contract... not a default option that nobody gets a choice in.

Just hope whatever they worked out sufficiently protects them in court.

I wish it had just been denied outright and AI would die on the vine, but that was unfortunately never going to happen. Estates shouldn't be able to pimp out the likeness of their dead parents or grandparents to earn a buck. It's gross. Just let new actors do the work.
