Pulled the trigger for next Thursday's match. There are still some tickets available directly through FIFA's last minute sales. About 20% cheaper than comparable seats on StubHub and the FIFA resale exchange for some reason.

We are going to surprise the kids morning of. Already been pumping it up to them saying I'm so jealous of everyone that's at the games, tickets are hard to get and really expensive, don't think we'll be able to go etc.

They are ranked 42nd in the fifa rankings. Not terrible but they are the worst in the group.

I am honestly surprised at how many good chances USA has had in the box.

I thought (maybe wrongly) that Paraguay was better than this.

Paraguay’s been awful but still probably the best half of futbol of seen the US national team play in my 48 years on earth.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a US striker hit top shelf so easily. That might be the goal of the cup…… so far. To so easily brush off that slide tackle was crazy. Then to have the composure to take a cut and put top left of the goal.

A lot of the US passing game has been world class highlight reel stuff. Why is it almost always followed by an extremely poor reception touch?

I expected the latter, so I'm impressed so far. Even against Paraguay.

I tried watching the Canada stream but it wasn’t any better. Wish I could get the BBC/ITV streams.
