I've had similar effects with their standard rye. Might be my favorite sub-$50 bottle.

Damn. I am a hater of all things Michter except the 10 year bourbon. I also don't like EHT. I'll head off to the unpopular opinions thread.

Obligatory whiskey pic. One open I am aggressively trying to kill, Templeton 13 year rye. I took a break after returning from New England, this is a nice one to return with.

Birthday gift from a buddy, Batch 3 which I hadn’t tried. It’s better than 1 and 2 for sure. I don’t find many BF bottles to be worth the costs.. this does kind of remind me a JD14 in terms of oak and the fruit, but way more cherry and some sweet frosting mingle in. This feels older than 12 but bottle says 12-18 years blended in there so makes sense.


It’s solid, maybe just not my go to profile, will see how it opens up.
