The Official Dog Pix Thread

After losing my Weimaraner to old age about 3 years ago I felt I was done to never have another dog.

I could not stomach the thought of putting myself through that level of pain/loss ever again after 15 years of incredible loyalty and companionship.

That dog was my life before I was married and had kids. I was completely dedicated to its training and obedience. I thought id never be in a similar situation again to be able to offer that type of responsibility and commitment to training another.

But here we are. Not another weimeraner but similar bloodline. A german shorthaired pointer. Destined to be incredibly loved by the 4 of us and my outdoor adventure companion.

What's his/her name? We had a wonderful GSP growing up named Rusty. He lived to be on point.

His name is Fin, short for Finnick.

He gets released to us next week.
Great name. A wonderful memory of childhood was my dad tying a feather to fishing line and casting out on the lawn. Even as a puppy Rusty would stalk a feather point at it. So much fun.
