Talkin' 'bout Beerz

Last time I picked up i asked how strict they were on the 60 day pick up window and was told, "its just like, whenever man"

I get down with that lack of stress.

One time I bought 2 extra 4 packs of some VSOJ variant. capnmike picked up and sometime after that, realized they accidentally gave him extra deth’s tar or something instead. I was totally prepared to burn that place for my barleywine whalez but they just made the switch, no hassle. Well, no hassle as far as I know. It’s very possible the capn held them at knifepoint until they agreed to our barleywine demands.

🎶BRAZILLLLLLLLLLL🎶

Stone is a hot potato.
Where the fuck is Saporro brewing now then? Last I heard that's the majority of what Stone was doing these days.

Honestly never see Stone around here anymore without really seeking them out. They've lost pretty much all their handles in the past decade.

Arrogant Bastard and Ruination were EVERYWHERE when I moved here in 2008. Even your smallest little gas stations had Stone IPA 6-packs.

In another article:

Stone will no longer have a manufacturing presence in Richmond. Its sizable production facility at 4300 Williamsburg Ave. in the city’s Fulton area will become a full-time Sapporo USA production facility, Sapporo-Stone CEO Zach Keeling said in an interview on Monday.

Below is that article. It also states that Stone will be brewed at Firestone Walker and Boulevard.
Those are 2 fairly large breweries for just Sapporo.

Edit to add another article states that the Escondido brewery will close. So, Sapporo only at the Richmond brewery.

apropos of nothing i studied abroad with CEO zach keeling in college. was a nice guy!

I wonder if they hadn't pursued that massive exercise in hubris in Berlin if they would still be owned by Koch and the other guy? The location is now being mothballed since Brewdog went bust.
I was going to bring that up. Wild times. Didn’t they sell speciality like magnums of medicine collabs?

Some good news for once:

After nearly a year of drama that included a contested sale, San Francisco’s legendary craft beer institution, Toronado, is under contract with a new buyer.

Bill Lewis, a San Francisco resident of three decades and a regular of the beloved Haight Street bar, will serve as the new owner of Toronado along with his brother-in-law, Wall Pringle, according to a news release shared with SFGATE on behalf of Lewis. Founder Dave Keene, who owned the bar for 39 years and turned it into an internationally recognized destination for craft beer enthusiasts, will remain connected to the bar as an ambassador following the sale.
Last year, Toronado made headlines when a high-bidding cryptocurrency investor came forward with plans to purchase the storied bar and launch a YouTube channel in its name. That deal, though, fell through, making way for Lewis and Pringle to make an ownership bid about a year later.
