Where are you driving from to yuba? Would help narrow down your choices. Would mainly go with what's already been stated as far as Sac breweries though. As far as that 65 route theres some farmhouse brewery out in lincoln that made the news a while back. Havent heard from anybody how it is but might be interesting? Would love to recommend something in yuba duba but... its just terrible.. food and beer
Portland. Not looking for anything on the way, as we're driving straight through.

I’ve been to the Lincoln places you mentioned. Both are “meh”. Nice locations with mediocre beer.

There are a couple Farmhouse type breweries in Lincoln now.

Goathouse is probably the most popular, but it is due to them having a bunch of actual goats for kids to pet and feed. Beer is average at best. Will be crowded with kids/families. https://www.goathousebrewing.com/

The 2 others are Hillenbrand Farmhaus and Dueling Dogs a little further drive to Newcastle. Again more of a destination type place/location. Beers are average for the area. http://www.duelingdogsbrewing.com/ http://hillenbrandbrewery.com/

Things will be picking up in Lincoln later this summer when SLICE BEER CO opens. Ex-Moonraker Head Brewer Zack F is the Co-Owner.

Going to visit my mom in Yuba City this weekend. Anything nearby at all? Bottle shop or brewery. Anything in Sacramento worth making the trip for. Doesn't have to be great; if I don't find a place to go to while I'm there, I'll just end up sitting around her house all weekend.

Litheum94 - Any reviews of the local Sacramento beer? Any comparable to Portland?

I didn't end up making it into Sacramento. After being in the car for 10 hours, we didn't feel like adding on another hour.

I did end up going to Sutter Butte brewing, and pretty much agree with flexabull. Definitely not worth going out of your way for, but decent beer (double IPA, Porter and scotch ale were pretty solid) and decent food.

We did stop by a tap room in Chico on the way out (Sierra Nevada was closed) and I had a good IPA from Fieldwork there.

Unless I'm blind, there isn't an SF Bay Area thread or Russian River thread, so I'm guessing it belongs here.

Hopfather is listed as coming soon, but not with (CANS) next to it. I know they did cans of it in the past. Is this a draft-only batch?

Headed down in late July to see the M’s play the A’s. I’ve got Urban Roots and New Glory on the list, anything else? Gonna stay in Ashland, OR with some relatives on a Monday, drive down to Sacramento Tuesday morning and stay overnight in town after the game.

New Glory is skippable. I'd try and prioritize getting out to Shred or Moonraker with a trip to NixTaco instead. There's a great yakitori spot called Binchoyaki right near UR that may be of interest to you as well.

Thanks! It’s likely going to be a shot down I-5 from Ashland to Sacramento so not sure how much we’ll stray from the corridor. Moonraker and NixTaco might be doable depending on when we leave Ashland that morning. It’s about a 4-4.5 hour drive straight to Sacramento so just need to play around on the map. Good thing the game isn’t until 7 that night.
