Professional Wrestling (WWE, NJPW, ROH, AEW, etc.)

Yup. Now let's see what they do with Gable....really need to book h him in a belt related program.

Also queen of the ring with the Champ in the bracket? Wth is that
Liv has been spouting about how she thinks she deserves everything, RE both her belt AND Rhea's belt.

If I had to guess? I'd say they are setting up an Iyo vs Liv final in the tournament. The winner either revives the old Liv vs Rhea rivalry and adds some intrigue about if one woman can hold both belts? Or you set up the Iyo vs Rhea bestie vs bestie match.

^ Further to this, I would expect Stephanie to return and cost Liv at some point. Maybe she has Iyo beaten in the final, but Stephanie makes her return and interferes, costing Liv the chance to get after Rhea and obtain both belts. I think they definitely intended to keep the Liv and Stephanie rivalry going after WM, but Stephanie was supposedly dealing with multiple nagging injuries and needed time off.

if you take this approach, you could theoretically set up Liv vs Stephanie and Rhea vs Iyo, both at SummerSlam.

But the entire point of king of the ring is to elevate someone from mid card /no belt into championship contention...feels pointless to use it to set up belt vs belt imo.
Oh I'm not disagreeing with you, I just think this is what they're doing.

What I think they ARE doing vs what I think they SHOULD be doing are rarely ever in alignment at this point. WWE is just an ATM for TKO and very little more.

Yeah just not great booking imo.

I do wonder what they are going to do with Maxine. They've teased her joining the Vision...but in what way that helps elevate her and a heel turn?

Also I think having Fatu lose was not a great decision.

Yeah I don't think anything about Maxine joining The Vision moves any needs, and I'm really not a fan of this Bloodline reformation angle. Roman just doesn't really do much for me, and it continues to just reek of them not knowing what to do other than keep replaying the hits.

Supposedly they want Rock vs Roman for WM 43 in Saudi. I have no interest in seeing that either.

Exactly....but you build up Fatu and while he didn't get buried...it doesn't help elevate him to the next level. Which he'd been gaining enough steam that they needed to give him a title run.

Maxine...I dunno. She got a short push with the Becky program. Then crickets

They've admitted that they have started using AI to write story lines and it shows.
