Pistachio halva Rice Krispie treat from Hani's. NYT actually has their recipe but this is easier.

A slice of Edith’s cinnamon babka. Perfect babka texture, in that it has all the texture. Chewy, dense, soft, crunchy. Decadent. Thing weighs like a pound.

Not sure if these count as pastries or snacks. The bun things had a dense, crumbly, cakey center. Good but I was expecting more of a paste. The pandan glutenous rice squares are wonderful. Not too sweet. I love pandan.

Tous Les Jours is a chain so I'd never given it much thought. However, I am not exactly the poster child for Korea, so what do I know? These were all good and, like most Asian pastries, not overly sweet. I'll be back.

We have one right by us and have enjoyed it.

Matcha black sesame mochi from Onggi.
There's also a kimchi corn cheese soufflé and a miso scallion scone with chili crisp butter. All excellent.
