I'm assuming this is to make one of the younger bats disposable in a trade for a starting pitcher.
I’m assuming that also, but the guys they would be trading off are mostly outfielders like Frazier, Tauchman and Maybin. Infield and DH are already crowded positions and they better not fucking touch Voit or Lemahieu

took in an independent wood bat league game today. nice, brand new park. really cool to see a new development like it in town.
it's a combo soccer/baseball park with astroturf instead of grass, though. even the mound. a little weird.
for $12 a ticket, $4 food & beer i can see going to a handful of these this summer.

I just checked and Moises Alou was never in the AL so that’s the reason he and his dad Felipe Alou aren’t on this list.
