Moving Heavy Stuff

Alan Thrall for the win, yet again.

Him explaining it like a football 3 point stance and not a deadlift was exactly what I needed to hear to know how wrong I was in how I did it.

Still not 100% sure of the transition from knee to up and over but ill figure it out.

Just got the results of my DEXA scan and I’m super stoked. Went from 190 lbs and 16.4% bodyfat on February 24 to 173.8 lbs and 12.4% bodyfat this morning. So a very significant improvement in body composition, and certainly the leanest I’ve ever been as an adult.

In addition, I hit 275 lbs last night in a parallel back squat which I think is about identical to what I was lifting back in February when I weighed 16 lbs more, so I’m really happy with that as well since my relative strength (which is what matters most for jumping) is a lot higher.

Competition is next week so things are lining up to be jumping higher than ever
