Splitting a SARA membership with a friend. For old time’s sake really. I drink way less than I used to and am already barely using the other four (ridiculous) I’m signed up to.

Well, I loved the metaphore membership- but too damn expensive to get those bottles across an ocean. Though really enjoyed em- still have a few left. So did drop that after one year.

Instead, joined private press to shred some dollars. Which makes sense given my other memberships (mirage and floodland) are saison, so gotta diversify.

The beers I have had were good especially when comparing to others around town. The pricing isn't crazy, would like more gin things.

I completely agree. I was pleasantly surprised by this one, especially after drinking Sun Ship (watermelon) and Celestial Cadence (tarragon), which were not good at all. That's why I'm on the fence.

Sours aren't doing as well as they used to.

I've been on the fence about renewing SARA for a few years now; I'm lucky enough to visit the brewery a few times a year, and buying a handful of regular bottles there would be significantly cheaper than the $400 entry + getting them in hand. The beers were getting same-y enough that club exclusivity wasn't a huge draw.

But last year's bottles were among the best in a handful of years (Tapping Time especially), and so I bit the bullet again.

I also joined Firestone Walker.
