It’s hard to recommend much in the immediate Wrigleyville corridor near Addison and Clark. One exception is Kombini and Kombai , which is an awesome little sake shop about two blocks south of Wrigley field . They also serve beer and wine and have a food menu focusing on Japanese and pan Asian cuisine.
For bookstores , Three Avenues and Unabridged are great independent shops that are pretty close to Wrigleyville.
For bakeries , try Daeji Dough Company on Belmont Ave for Korean inspired baked treats. Other bakeries worth checking out, and not too far from Wrigleyville, are Verzaney (Lincoln Park - be prepared for amazing croissants ) and Del Sur (Ravenswood - be prepared to wait in line).
Gramaphone is a long running record shop just south of Wrigleyville.
Finally , as OceanOfMead said, soul food on the northside can be sus. You might want to try Cleo’s; the original location is on the south side , and they recently opened up a second location in Lakeview , not too far from Wrigleyville.
Hope you enjoy the trip!
