Depending on what pick it's going to cost you I would keep Jacobs and Jackson.

I got Jackson wayyyy down I think. Jacob was middle of the pack, but I can’t recall or find the draft order of picks from last year for some reason.

I can easily keep both of them and have picks 1-4 rounds I think, if not better.

I believe I also get the first pick this year.... so there’s something I need to look into.

If you can keep your round 1-4 picks and keep Jackson and Jacobs thats a no brainer IMO. I think that Jacobs takes a major step up with some additional receiving work this year and while Jackson will inevitably regress slightly, he’s still a top 3 QB just due to his rushing floor.

I’d be willing to give up a 3rd or 4th for Jacobs if he was drafted in the fifth.

found out I’m drafting 7 Thursday night. Probably Cook/Thomas/Henry left for me.

I drafted 7/10 on Saturday and got Chubb/Jones for my first two picks. Cook and Henry were both gone.

Jacobs went 1.8 in mine and was a 4th rounder last year so I'd probably still keep him in the second rd.

Yep, that's what I'd say too. Depending on what QB is like in the league, and where he was drafted, keeping Russel Wilson might be something to consider. I normally would not carry two QBs in a "normal" league but with COVID this year I'm considering it. He also seems to have pretty healthy bench spots so I'd definitely consider him.

Tl;Dr for someone who was not around for the entertainment last year?
Two QB league. Huge accelerator points for dumb shit like 40/50/60+ yard TD throw. Similar accelerator points for long TD catches but not the same accelerators for long runs by RBs/QBs. RBs are mostly interchangeable because of how few points they produce. QBs then are extremely valuable but again it's hard to get any kind of educated guess as to who will be the best to use with the accelerators. Example from last year: Lamar Jackson was pretty much the consensus QB1 for fantasy in pretty much all scoring. In this dumb league he was the sixth best QB. Getting beaten out by: Dak, Jameis, Matt Ryan, Mahomes and Philip Rivers. Decent QBs average 75 points a game but in just the one year I played you can get ones that put up 150 points alone. RB, by contrast, average about 15 points a game for a solid performance. Even McCaffrey with his crazy receiving numbers only averaged 30 points.

Then on top of that there are random little things like in the playoffs the higher seeded team is automatically spotted 10 points. Which is just head scratching because the weekly points total per team averages 250-300 points so why bother? There were other things I'm not remembering but mostly it was about the accelerator points and such making it more of just a coin flip as to who won each week rather than using any kind of knowledge etc to put together the best team.

Damn. I have small bumps in bonus points for receiving...running and QB. Not just one position. And they aren't such that they make the great players not great.

Crazy stuff man

Guys in the league are pretty erratic on what they do and who they pick up/draft etc too. Seven QBs taken in the first round. Not sure any other leagues out there can say that Tom Brady and Drew Brees went pick six and seven receptively in 2020. And at the turn of the first/second round the guy takes Kittle and Kelce...

Standard league, picked 9 of 10 snake.

Mahomes/Daniel Jones
WR: Thomas/Sutton/Marvin Jones/Slayton/John Brown/Emmanuel Sanders/Curtis Samuel;
RB: Chubb, Ingram, Mostert, Jones II,
Hunter Henry
PIT and Robbie Gould

Other league (.3 PPR, .2 rushing attempt...so basically standard) I'm picking 1st tonight - CMC then...? at the 2/3 turn

I like the value that WR usually gets you there, especially if you have CMC. Tyreek Hill, Julio or Hopkins should be there. Or go WR and Kelce if you aren't TE adverse that early. I generally don't like the RBs that seem to be going there and am just as happy to wait another round for ones that aren't as high in draft capital.

This is my play... I should be able to get CMC first. Then hope to come around and find a Julio or Hopkins still around when I look back. People draft weird as shit last year but slightly altered crowd this year.

Home league draft tonight. Just found out I'm drafting 7th in a 12 person full PPR. I'd much prefer to be at the back of the draft more. Hoping Michael Thomas will still be there but guessing he won't. You guys like CEH, Kamara, Jacobs or Mixon there?

Coming back in the second round looks like I'll be making a similar decision as capnmike with one of the WRs. I think I've had Julio in this league every year for the last four years. Might have to make that five.

Same situation for me tonight. Local 12 team full PPR and I have pick 7.

I'm hoping for Jacobs. I'll be looking for another RB in the 2nd as well. The depth at WR makes me want to wait.

Yeah, I'm normally all about RB in this league but I see Thomas as the only "can't lose" bet at WR for the most part. I see him getting me 13+ points a week consistently with a few 20 point outings. Then the next "tier" of WR for me would be Julio, Tyreek, Adams and Hopkins. Unless guys in my league go off the rails (which does happen with someone usually taking a QB in the first or early second round) I'm probably going to end up with one of those RB I mentioned and then one of these WRs. If they are gone then maybe trying for Aaron Jones.

I'm not expecting Thomas to be there at 7 in my league. Though you are right about potential odd picks. I could see someone taking Lamar Jackson in the 1st round tonight.

isnt 7 high for Jacobs in a full PPR?

I've read the Raiders are going to get Jacobs a lot more involved in the passing game. He has little competition on the bench too.
