Angry Frustration GIF by MOODMAN

(I'm still going to see it in IMAX though sometime next week)

They're so going to try to do an Heir to the Empire trilogy after Ahsoka S2 now. If this thing opens under $100M Sebastian Stan will be getting a call on Monday.
Can pretty much guarantee this thing opens under $100M

these guys saw how amazing Andor was and said, "let's do the exact fucking opposite thing"

how do they continue to take the most beloved IP of all time and just do absolute fuck all with it

it's incredible

Hopefully Starfighter will turn this ship around.

They needed their first movie back after Rise to be a Grand Slam. Doesn't sound like they did it.

they were morons for picking a show that was fizzling out to make a movie on. all so they can sell more stupid fucking merch in their theme parks. They know what they are doing, they can care less about the fan base, it's all about grabbing the kids who in turn manipulate their parents.

They traded short term gains on pajamas for kids over long term great moviemaking that's for sure.

Grogu's story should have been done after Season 2. It had the perfect ending with him going with Luke to train as a jedi.

Then they did a 180... on a DIFFERENT SHOW... and put him right back. No bitch you ain't going nowhere Baby Yoda, we got billions to make on kids shampoo.

That character had no further development in Season 3 other than being comic relief.

They could fix them and have him killed off, like they should have done with jar jar.

In the good seasons where they were actually trying to fix the sequel trilogy they were alluding to the fact that the Imperial Remnant wanted to suck the midichlorians ("m-units") out of Grogu to give the Emperor's clone back his force powers.

Now THAT would be a great ending to that Mandalorian and Grogu movie. Is that how it ends?

Din: "Nooooooo!"

Baby Yoda: *deflates like balloon as all blood is sucked from his body by a machine and injected into Palpatine clone*

Palaptine: "ABSOLUTE POWERRRRR!" *shoots lighting out of fingers*

Din: "Oh no. Somehow Palpatine... has returned" *Imperial March plays* *black screen*

Well this can't be a great sign. This is the only Digital IMAX in the state that can project the full image for Mandalorian and Grogu (there's no 70MM prints of this movie so Dallas isn't getting it) and opening night isn't even sold out:

This film is going to be about as popular as Jar Jar Binks.

To give you an idea of how popular that theater normally is... at Wednesday prior to Project Hail Mary coming out (another "Shot for IMAX" film with scenes in 1.43:1 aspect ratio) only 4 showtimes for its' entire run had tickets available at the very end of the 2nd week.
